Day 01 – Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – Athens

Guests arrive on individual basis at Athens International airport and transfer to the hotel through out the day. In late afternoon / early evening we will have a welcome dinner to taste the modern tradition at the historical center of Athens. Its cuisine, most royal at the place of origin, is flirting with recipes all from over Greece, with a modern approach, using traditional and healthy products of Mani and Peloponnese.

Day 02 – Thursday, April 25, 2013 – Mystras & Kalamata, Peloponnese

Early Morning we will depart for Mystras, Peloponnese near Sparta. We will visit the archaeological site of Mystras, the ‘wonder of the Morea’. It was built as an amphitheatre around the fortress erected in 1249 by the prince of Achaia, William of Villehardouin. Reconquered by the Byzantines, then occupied by the Turks and the Venetians, the city was abandoned in 1832, leaving only the breathtaking medieval ruins, standing in a beautiful landscape.

We will then continue to the city of Kalamata in Peloponnese. We will have ample time to rest in the afternoon at the hotel. In the evening enjoy a nice local rich dinner in a nice seafront venue outside the hotel.

Day 03 – Friday, April 26, 2013 – Kalamata

Morning visit to a local traditional stone mill-oil press and then to a modern one They will show us how they process the corps in a natural way, using the old and traditional stone – mill, without high temperatures or additions. We will continue to a traditional local seafront restaurant in a village southeast of Kalamata on the peninsula of Mani. Here we will experience the local traditional cooking demonstration followed by traditional lunch.

We will have time to rest at the hotel. Afternoon Excursion at Kalamata – Free Time for shopping.

Day 04 – Saturday, April 27, 2013 – Kalamata

In the morning we will visit to a traditional workshop. Experience the process of making the traditional Greek sausages and the “pasto”-cured meat.

Continue with a visit to the Archaeological site of ancient Messini. The remains of Ancient Messini are backed by high mountains, dominated by the summit of Mount Ithomi (800 m) on whose lower slopes it was built.

We enjoy a traditional local lunch in local tavern in ancient Messini – Ithomi.

Day 05 – Sunday, April 28, 2013 – Village of ancient Epidaurus

Today we depart Kalamata and continue our tour to Archaeological site of Ancient Epidaurus, famous in the antiquities as a Health Spa (The Healing Place). Here is the sanctuary of Asclepius the God of medicine and a small museum located inside the archaeological site with many interesting findings. We will also visit the impressive ancient Theater of Epidaurus dated back to 3rd century B.C. The theater can sit up to 12.000 people and it is famous for its beautiful location and its perfect acoustics. When you are at the highest level of the amphitheater, which is approximately 22 meters high, you can listen clearly the performers without the use of any electrical amplifiers. Today, during the summer period the Theater is still used for performances.

We will enjoy a traditional lunch with the local cuisine of the area. In the afternoon we will visit the famous small seaport town of Nafplion. It was the capital of the First Hellenic Republic from the start of the Greek revolution in 1821 until 1834. Nafplion is now the capital the region of Argolida.

Day 06 –Monday, April 29, 2013 – Athens

In the morning we will depart Ancient Epidaurus village to Athens where we will visit the Archaeological site of Acropolis Continue with shopping in Plaka area (Athens historical center) You will enjoy a nice dinner at Mikrolimano, Piraeus

Day 07 –Tuesday, April 30, 2013 – Athens

In the morning we will visit the new Acropolis Museum. This a spectacular unique museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum was built to house every artifact found on the rock and on its feet, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies on the archaeological site of Makrygianni and the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens. The museum was founded in 2003, while the organization of the Museum was established in 2008. It opened to the public on June 21, 2009. Nearly 4,000 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 square metres. We will then continue our walking excursion to the Ancient Agora, Monastiraki (Historical center of Athens) and then the famous Varvakios Agora (Athens Central Market). We will have lunch in a traditional local tavern in the Varvakios Agora. The walking tour will then continue towards to Syntagma square where we will see the Athens Library, the University and finally the parliament with the Evzones.

Day 08 – Wednesday, May 01, 2013 – Paros

Early morning embarkation to the ferry boat to Paros Arrival to Paros by noon and afternoon excursion to traditional village of Lefkes in Paros We will return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 09 – Thursday, May 02, 2013 – Paros

In the morning short cruise to Agios Georgios in Antiparos. We will do a cooking Demonstration of “Kakavia Soup” (Fish Soup). Enjoy the traditional ouzo & Fish mezze with the famous kakavia soup on the seafront tavern. After lunch we will have a demonstration/preparation of the traditional Greek Easter Eggs

Day 10 – Friday, May 03, 2013 – Paros

Today we will do the tour of the Paros Island. We will start the tour by visiting the Paros Church of hundred doors “Panagia Ekatontapyliani” and the Archaeological Museum in Parikia. We will then continue to Aliki, Drios & Pisso Livadi where we will visit the Folklore Art Museum of Cycladic civilization. We will dinner at the Hotel and in the evening you will experience the famous Epitaph ceremony at Marpissa village

Day 11 – Saturday, May 04, 2013 – Paros

Optional Day Tour to Naxos Island by ferry boat

Afternoon Time to rest Evening transfer to the church for the Liturgy of Resurrection Traditional midnight dinner & Easter wishes

Day 12, – Sunday, May 05, 2013 (Greek – Easter Sunday) – Paros

Traditional Greek Easter Lunch Party at the Hotel You will experience and taste the traditional Greek Easter Sunday Lunch celebrations with music and Greek dancers

Day 13- Monday, May 06, 2013 – Athens

In the morning we will embark to the Ferry Boat from Paros to Piraeus. Upon arrival in Athens we will have a free time for rest or shopping in the historical center

Day 14 – Tuesday, May 07, 2013 – Departure

Transfer to Athens International airport for the return flight
